Federica Pellegrini is an Italian Olympic swimmer – one of the most decorated female swimmers in history. Born August 5, 1988, in Mirano, Veneto, she won Olympic gold in the 200m freestyle at Beijing 2008 and held the world record in that event from 2009 to 2023. She is the only female swimmer to appear in five consecutive Olympic Games (2004-2021).
Standing 5’11” (181 cm) with a US shoe size of 9.5, Federica has long, athletic feet shaped by decades of competitive swimming – flexible, with pronounced arches from constant kicking motion and the natural toe alignment of a lifelong athlete. Her pedicures tend toward practical – short-cut nails in neutral or bright colors, reflecting an athlete’s rather than a fashion-model’s approach to foot care.
Olympic coverage, World Championships footage, and Italian swimming league events produced extensive feet-visible content across her 15+ year competitive career. Post-retirement (2021), Federica has moved into media work as a co-host of Pechino Express (Italy’s version of The Amazing Race) and Italia’s Got Talent, putting her in designer heels and casual footwear weekly on television.
Her pregnancy and motherhood journey – she had daughter Matilde in 2024 with husband Matteo Giunta – produced extensive Instagram content featuring barefoot home and beach moments. Italian magazine features in Vanity Fair Italia, Gente, and Oggi showcase her transition from pool to red carpet.
